Sometimes, you’ve gotta forget about subtletly and just go for pure, unadulterated drama. It’s a risk, of course. You could end up making an over-the-top fool of yourself (like poor Didi from American Idol this week). But sometimes you’ve just to let the monster inside you out, and well, like the husky, overwrought but oh-so-good wailings of Bonnie Tyler shows here, that monster may turn out to be more beautiful than you ever expected.
